Description

A traditional Slovak dessert made with thin layers of dough and sweet filling.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 500g all-purpose flour
  • 250ml milk
  • 100g butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 200g ground walnuts
  • 150g honey
  • 1 tsp cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Mix flour, milk, butter, egg, sugar, and salt to form a smooth dough.
  2. Divide the dough into small balls and roll each into a thin circle.
  3. Combine walnuts, honey, and cinnamon for the filling.
  4. Spread the filling evenly over each dough circle.
  5. Roll the dough into a log and shape it into a nest.
  6. Bake at 180°C for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Let cool before serving.

Notes

  • You can substitute walnuts with poppy seeds or other nuts.
  • Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
