Description
A simple recipe for homemade egg liqueur, perfect for desserts or sipping on its own.
Ingredients

- 6 egg yolks
- 100g sugar
- 250ml milk
- 250ml heavy cream
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 100ml rum or vodka (optional)
Instructions
- Whisk egg yolks and sugar until pale and creamy.
- Heat milk and cream in a saucepan until warm (do not boil).
- Slowly pour the warm milk mixture into the egg mixture while whisking continuously.
- Return the mixture to the saucepan and cook on low heat until thickened (about 5-7 minutes).
- Remove from heat, stir in vanilla extract and alcohol (if using).
- Let cool, then strain and bottle. Store in the refrigerator.
Notes
- Use fresh eggs for best results.
- Adjust sugar to taste.
- Alcohol is optional but helps preserve the liqueur.
