Description

A delicious dessert made with tvaroh (quark) and apricots.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 500g tvaroh (quark)
  • 200g sugar
  • 100g butter, softened
  • 3 eggs
  • 200g all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 200g apricot jam or fresh apricots
  • 1 packet vanilla sugar (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. In a bowl, mix tvaroh, sugar, and softened butter until smooth.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each.
  4. Sift flour and baking powder, then fold into the mixture.
  5. Pour half the batter into a greased baking dish.
  6. Spread apricot jam or arrange fresh apricot slices over the batter.
  7. Cover with the remaining batter and smooth the top.
  8. Bake for 40-45 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Let cool before slicing into squares.

Notes

  • Use fresh apricots when in season for better flavor.
  • Dust with powdered sugar before serving if desired.
  • Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days.
