Description
A delicious Czech dessert with layers of tvaroh (farmer’s cheese) and apples.

- 500g tvaroh (farmer’s cheese)
- 2 large apples, peeled and grated
- 200g all-purpose flour
- 150g sugar
- 100g butter, melted
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp baking powder
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Mix the tvaroh, eggs, sugar, and vanilla extract in a bowl.
- Add the flour, baking powder, and salt, then mix until smooth.
- Stir in the grated apples.
- Pour the melted butter into a baking dish, then spread the batter evenly.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes until golden brown.
- Let it cool before cutting into slices.
Notes
- Use fresh, firm apples for best texture.
- Dust with powdered sugar before serving if desired.
- Store leftovers in the fridge.
