A traditional Czech dessert made with creamy tvaroh (quark) and a buttery crust, perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients

- 250g tvaroh (quark)
- 150g butter
- 200g all-purpose flour
- 100g sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp baking powder
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
- Add softened butter and mix until crumbly.
- Press half of the dough into a greased baking dish.
- Blend tvaroh, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Spread the tvaroh mixture over the dough.
- Crumble the remaining dough on top.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes until golden.
- Let cool before slicing.
Notes
- Use full-fat tvaroh for a richer taste.
- Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
- Store in the fridge for up to 3 days.
