Description
Traditional Polish Christmas Eve dishes known as potrawy wigilijne. These are meatless meals served during the festive supper.
Ingredients

- 1 kg potatoes
- 500 g beets
- 200 g dried mushrooms
- 300 g sauerkraut
- 100 g poppy seeds
- 2 onions
- 3 cloves garlic
- 1 liter vegetable broth
- 2 tbsp butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Peel and boil the potatoes until tender.
- Grate the beets and cook them with garlic.
- Soak dried mushrooms, then simmer them in broth.
- Chop onions and sauté with butter.
- Mix sauerkraut with cooked mushrooms.
- Grind poppy seeds and combine with honey.
- Serve all dishes together.
