Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 2 tsp ground ginger
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground cloves
  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Mix honey and brown sugar in a saucepan over low heat until dissolved.
  2. Remove from heat and stir in melted butter.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and spices.
  4. Add the honey mixture to the dry ingredients and mix well.
  5. Beat in the egg until the dough is smooth.
  6. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
  7. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  8. Roll out dough and cut into shapes.
  9. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are firm.
  10. Cool before serving.

Notes

  • Store in an airtight container to keep them soft.
  • Dough can be chilled overnight for easier handling.
