Description
A traditional Romanian dessert made with layers of thin pastry filled with sweet cheese and raisins.
Ingredients
Scale
- 500g flour
- 250g butter
- 200ml water
- 1 egg
- 500g sweet cheese
- 100g raisins
- 100g sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Mix flour, butter, water, and egg to make the dough.
- Divide the dough into small balls and roll them into thin sheets.
- Mix sweet cheese, raisins, sugar, and vanilla extract for the filling.
- Spread the filling between layers of dough.
- Bake at 180°C for 30 minutes.
- Let it cool before serving.
Notes
- Let the dough rest for 30 minutes before rolling.
- Brush the top layer with egg wash for a golden crust.
