Description
Śledź pod Pierzynką is a traditional Polish herring dish layered with vegetables and mayonnaise.

- 2 large onions, thinly sliced

- 2 apples, grated
- 4 boiled eggs, sliced
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp mustard

Instructions
- Soak herring fillets in water for 2 hours to remove excess salt.
- Pat dry the fillets and slice them into small pieces.
- Layer onions, carrots, apples, and eggs in a dish.
- Spread mayonnaise mixed with mustard over the layers.
- Repeat layers until ingredients are used.
- Garnish with fresh dill.
- Refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.
