Ingredients

Scale
  • 500g salted herring fillets
  • 2 large onions
  • 200ml sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons mustard
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 5 allspice berries

Instructions

  2. Drain and cut the fillets into bite-sized pieces.
  3. Slice the onions thinly.
  4. In a bowl, mix sour cream, mustard, sugar, and black pepper.
  5. Layer herring and onions in a jar, adding bay leaves and allspice berries between layers.
