Traditional Slovak Christmas Eve snacks and drinks.
Ingredients

- 500g poppy seeds
- 200g walnuts
- 200g honey
- 1 loaf of white bread
- 1 liter milk
- 1kg apples
- 500ml red wine
- 200g sugar
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1 vanilla pod
Instructions
- Grind poppy seeds and walnuts separately.
- Mix honey with ground poppy seeds.
- Cut bread into slices and soak in milk.
- Layer bread with poppy seed mixture.
- Peel and slice apples.
- Heat wine with sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla.
- Serve bread layers with apples and warm wine.
