Ingredients

- 10 fresh basil leaves
- 2 oz gin
- 1 oz fresh lime juice
- 1 oz simple syrup
- Ice cubes
- Soda water (optional)
Instructions
- In a shaker, muddle the basil leaves with lime juice and simple syrup.
- Add gin and ice to the shaker.
- Shake well for 10-15 seconds.
- Strain into a glass filled with ice.
- Top with soda water if desired.
- Garnish with a basil leaf.
Notes
- Use fresh basil for the best flavor.
- Adjust sweetness by adding more or less simple syrup.
- For a non-alcoholic version, replace gin with lemonade.
