- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 3 eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease and flour a round cake pan.
- Mix flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
- In another bowl, cream butter and sugar until fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla.
- Alternately add flour mixture and milk, mixing well.
- Pour batter into the pan and bake for 30-35 minutes.
- Let the cake cool before decorating with fondant and religious symbols.
