Description
Traditional Polish Christmas gingerbread cookies, known as Pierniczki Świąteczne, are spiced, sweet, and often decorated with icing.
Ingredients

- 500g all-purpose flour
- 250g honey
- 100g sugar
- 1 egg
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tbsp ground ginger
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp ground cloves
- 1 tsp nutmeg
Instructions
- Mix honey, sugar, and butter in a saucepan. Heat until sugar dissolves.
- Cool the mixture, then add the egg and spices.
- Gradually add flour and baking soda, kneading into a smooth dough.
- Roll out the dough and cut into shapes.
- Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 10-12 minutes.
- Decorate with icing if desired.

- Let the dough rest for better flavor.
- Store in an airtight container to keep soft.
