Ingredients

- 250g flour
- 150g butter
- 100g powdered sugar
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Cream butter and sugar until light.
- Add egg yolk and vanilla, mix well.
- Sift flour and salt, then combine with wet ingredients.
- Roll dough to 5mm thickness and cut into shapes.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until golden.
- Cool before serving.
Notes
- Chill dough for 30 minutes if too soft.
- Decorate with icing or sprinkles if desired.
- Store in an airtight container for up to 1 week.
