Description
A classic Austrian cookie with a jam-filled center and a dusting of powdered sugar.
Ingredients

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup almond flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup raspberry jam
- Powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- Mix flour, almond flour, sugar, and salt in a bowl.
- Cut in butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Add egg and vanilla, mix until dough forms.
- Divide dough in half, flatten into disks, wrap in plastic, and chill for 1 hour.
- Roll out dough to 1/4-inch thickness and cut into rounds.
- Cut small holes in half the rounds for the tops.
- Place solid rounds on a baking sheet, spread jam in the center, and top with holed rounds.
- Bake at 350°F for 12-15 minutes until edges are golden.
- Cool completely and dust with powdered sugar.
Notes
- Chill dough for easier handling.
- Use any jam flavor you prefer.
- Store in an airtight container for up to a week.
