Description
Kluski Leniwe are traditional Polish lazy dumplings made with farmer’s cheese and flour. They are soft, tender, and often served with butter, sugar, or breadcrumbs.
Ingredients

- 500g farmer’s cheese (twaróg)
- 1 egg
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 tbsp butter (for serving)
- 1 tbsp sugar or breadcrumbs (optional, for serving)
Instructions
- Mix farmer’s cheese, egg, flour, and salt in a bowl until a soft dough forms.
- Roll the dough into a long rope on a floured surface.
- Cut the rope into small pieces (about 2cm each).
- Bring a pot of salted water to a boil.
- Drop the dumplings into the boiling water and cook for 2-3 minutes until they float.
- Remove with a slotted spoon and drain.
- Serve hot with melted butter and sugar or breadcrumbs.
Notes
- Use dry farmer’s cheese for best results.
- Do not overmix the dough to keep dumplings tender.
- You can freeze uncooked dumplings for later use.
