Karp Smażony is a traditional Polish dish featuring fried carp, often served during Christmas Eve.

- 1 whole carp (about 2 kg), cleaned and cut into portions
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp paprika
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- Vegetable oil for frying
- Lemon wedges for serving
Instructions
- Rinse carp pieces and pat dry with paper towels.
- Season fish with salt, pepper, and paprika.
- Coat each piece in flour, then dip in beaten eggs.
- Roll in breadcrumbs until fully covered.
- Heat oil in a large pan over medium heat.
- Fry carp pieces for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown.
- Drain on paper towels before serving.
- Serve hot with lemon wedges.
