Ingredients

- 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, chilled
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 3 tbsp ice water
- 1/2 cup almond flour
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
- 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Mix flour, butter, sugar, and salt in a bowl until crumbly.
- Add ice water one tablespoon at a time until dough forms.
- Shape into a disk, wrap in plastic, and chill for 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Roll dough into a circle and transfer to a baking sheet.
- Mix almond flour, sugar, egg, butter, and vanilla to make the frangipane.
- Spread frangipane over the dough, leaving a border.
- Fold the edges over the filling.
- Bake for 30 minutes or until golden.
- Cool before serving.

- Serve with fresh berries or whipped cream.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container.
