Description

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Oil for frying
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar (optional, for coating)

Instructions

  1. Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
  2. Add milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Stir until smooth.
  3. Heat oil in a deep pan to 350°F (175°C).
  4. Drop spoonfuls of batter into the hot oil. Fry until golden brown, about 2 minutes per side.
  5. Remove and drain on paper towels.
  6. Roll in powdered sugar if desired.
  7. Serve warm.
