Vosí hnízda is a traditional Czech pastry made with layers of dough and sweet filling, often served as a dessert or snack.

- 500g all-purpose flour
- 200g butter
- 100g sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 200g jam (apricot or plum)
- 1/2 cup milk
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Mix flour, butter, sugar, eggs, vanilla, and salt to form a dough.
- Roll out the dough and cut into squares.
- Place a spoonful of jam in the center of each square.
- Fold the corners to the center, forming a nest shape.
- Brush with milk and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden.
- Let cool before serving.
Notes
- Use cold butter for flakier dough.
- Adjust sugar based on jam sweetness.
- Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
