Description
Traditional Czech Christmas cookies, known as vánoční cukroví, are a staple during the holiday season. These sweet treats come in various shapes and flavors, often decorated with icing or sprinkles.

- 250g all-purpose flour
- 150g butter, softened
- 100g powdered sugar
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Mix flour, butter, powdered sugar, egg yolk, vanilla extract, and salt in a bowl until smooth.
- Roll out the dough to about 5mm thickness.
- Cut into festive shapes using cookie cutters.
- Place on a baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes until lightly golden.
- Let cool before decorating.

- Store in an airtight container to keep cookies fresh.
- Decorate with royal icing or sprinkles while cookies are slightly warm.
