Description
A delicious Hungarian dessert, túrófánk is a type of doughnut filled with sweetened cottage cheese and often dusted with powdered sugar.

- 250g cottage cheese (túró)
- 200g all-purpose flour
- 2 eggs
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla sugar
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- Pinch of salt
- Oil for frying
- Powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- Mix cottage cheese, eggs, sugar, and vanilla sugar in a bowl.
- Add flour, baking powder, and salt. Stir until smooth.
- Heat oil in a deep pan to 170°C (340°F).
- Spoon small portions of the batter into the hot oil.
- Fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
- Remove and drain on paper towels.
- Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
Notes
- Use fresh cottage cheese for best texture.
- Do not overcrowd the pan while frying.
- Serve warm for the best taste.
