Miodownik is a traditional honey cake popular in Eastern Europe. It’s moist, rich, and flavored with honey and spices.
Ingredients

- 2 cups flour
- 1 cup honey
- 3 eggs
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp cloves
- 1/2 cup butter
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Mix honey, sugar, and melted butter in a bowl.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well.
- Sift flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and cloves together.
- Combine wet and dry ingredients.
- Pour batter into a greased baking pan.
- Bake for 40 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cool before serving.
Notes
- Store in an airtight container to keep moist.
- Best served at room temperature.
- Can be topped with powdered sugar or whipped cream.
