Description

Ingredients

  • 2 carrots, chopped

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 4 cups water or vegetable broth
  • 1 bay leaf

Instructions

  1. Rinse the lentils under cold water.
  2. Heat oil in a pot and sauté onions, carrots, and garlic until soft.
  3. Add lentils, water, bay leaf, salt, and pepper.
  4. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 25-30 minutes until lentils are tender.
  5. Remove bay leaf before serving.
