- 4 large eggs
- 100g granulated sugar
- 80g all-purpose flour
- 20g cocoa powder
- 200ml heavy cream
- 50g powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Butter for greasing
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Grease a baking sheet and line it with parchment paper.
- Beat eggs and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Sift flour and cocoa powder, then fold into the egg mixture.
- Spread the batter evenly on the baking sheet.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until the sponge springs back when touched.
- Roll the sponge while warm in a clean kitchen towel, then let it cool.
- Whip cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla until stiff peaks form.
- Unroll the sponge, spread the cream, then roll it back up.
- Chill for at least 2 hours before serving.
Notes
- Use room-temperature eggs for better volume.
- Dust with powdered sugar for a snowy effect.
- Add chocolate shavings for decoration.
