Description

A simple and delicious Buche de Noel recipe perfect for the holidays.


Ingredients

  • 4 large eggs
  • 100g granulated sugar
  • 80g all-purpose flour
  • 20g cocoa powder
  • 200ml heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Cocoa powder for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Beat eggs and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Sift flour and cocoa powder, then fold into the egg mixture.
  4. Pour batter onto a lined baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes.
  5. Roll the cake into a log while warm and let it cool.
  6. Whip cream with powdered sugar and vanilla until stiff peaks form.
  7. Unroll the cake, spread the cream, then roll it back up.
  8. Dust with cocoa powder before serving.

Notes

  • Use a clean kitchen towel to roll the cake to prevent sticking.
  • Chill the cake before dusting for easier handling.
