Ingredients

- 2 cups fresh basil leaves
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- 1/3 cup pine nuts
- 3 garlic cloves
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
- 12 oz pasta of your choice
Instructions
- Boil pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a food processor, blend basil, Parmesan, pine nuts, and garlic until finely chopped.
- Slowly add olive oil while the processor is running until smooth.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Toss the pesto with the cooked pasta and serve.
Notes
- Use fresh basil for the best flavor.
- Store leftover pesto in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
- You can substitute pine nuts with walnuts or almonds.
