Description

A simple and flavorful basil pesto sauce made with fresh basil, garlic, pine nuts, Parmesan cheese, and olive oil.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh basil leaves
  • 1/4 cup pine nuts
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Wash and dry the basil leaves.
  2. Toast the pine nuts lightly in a pan.
  3. Combine basil, pine nuts, garlic, and Parmesan in a food processor.
  4. Pulse until finely chopped.
  5. Slowly drizzle in olive oil while blending.
  6. Season with salt to taste.
