- 1 cup fresh basil leaves
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1/4 cup pine nuts
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Wash and dry the basil leaves.
- Peel and chop the garlic cloves.
- Toast the pine nuts lightly in a pan.
- Combine basil, garlic, pine nuts, and Parmesan in a food processor.
- Slowly add olive oil while blending.
- Season with salt to taste.
- Serve immediately or store in an airtight container.

- Use fresh basil for the best flavor.
- Store pesto in the fridge for up to a week.
- Freeze extra pesto in ice cube trays for later use.
