Description
A traditional Slovak dish, dort srdce is a heart-shaped cake often served for special occasions. It’s rich, moist, and filled with layers of flavor.
Ingredients

- 200g all-purpose flour
- 150g sugar
- 100g butter
- 3 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 50ml milk
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Grease and flour a heart-shaped cake pan.
- Mix flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
- Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each.
- Stir in vanilla extract.
- Alternately add the dry ingredients and milk, mixing until smooth.
- Pour batter into the prepared pan.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cool before serving.

- Use room-temperature ingredients for best results.
- Decorate with powdered sugar or frosting if desired.
