Crispy Asian Tofu Recipe Ready in 30 Minutes

Description

A simple and flavorful Asian tofu dish that’s quick to prepare and packed with protein.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 block (14 oz) firm tofu, pressed and cubed
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Press tofu for 15 minutes to remove excess water, then cut into cubes.
  2. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, ginger, garlic, and honey.
  3. Toss tofu cubes in cornstarch until lightly coated.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat. Add tofu and cook until golden brown on all sides.
  5. Pour the sauce over the tofu and stir gently to coat. Cook for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  6. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

  • Use extra-firm tofu for better texture.
  • Adjust sweetness or saltiness by varying honey or soy sauce.
  • Serve with rice or steamed vegetables.
