A traditional Polish herring salad, perfect for gatherings and holidays.
Ingredients

- 200g pickled herring fillets, diced
- 1 medium apple, peeled and diced
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 boiled eggs, diced
- 2 tbsp sour cream
- 1 tbsp mayonnaise
- 1 tsp mustard
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Dice the herring fillets, apple, and boiled eggs.
- Finely chop the onion.
- In a bowl, mix sour cream, mayonnaise, and mustard.
- Combine all ingredients in a large bowl.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Chill for at least 1 hour before serving.
Notes
- Best served chilled.
- Pairs well with rye bread.
- Adjust sour cream and mayonnaise to taste.
