Description

Pasztet Domowy is a traditional Polish meat pâté made with liver, meat, and spices. It’s creamy, rich, and perfect for spreading on bread or crackers.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 500g pork liver
  • 300g pork shoulder
  • 200g bacon
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp marjoram
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp butter

Instructions

  1. Boil the pork liver and shoulder until tender, then drain.
  2. Fry the bacon, onion, and garlic in butter until golden.
  3. Grind the cooked meat, liver, and fried mixture together.
  4. Mix in eggs, breadcrumbs, marjoram, pepper, and salt.
  5. Bake in a loaf pan at 180°C (350°F) for 1 hour.
  6. Let it cool before slicing.

Notes

  • You can use chicken liver for a milder taste.
  • Store in the fridge for up to 5 days.
  • Serve with pickles or mustard.
