Description
A traditional French pastry served during Epiphany, shaped like a crown and filled with almond cream.

- 2 sheets puff pastry
- 100g almond flour
- 100g sugar
- 100g softened butter
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 egg yolk for glazing
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F).
- Mix almond flour, sugar, butter, eggs, and vanilla to make almond cream.
- Roll out puff pastry and cut two circles.
- Spread almond cream on one circle, leaving a border.
- Place second circle on top and seal edges.
- Cut lines from center outward to form crown shape.
- Twist each section outward to create points.
- Brush with egg yolk.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden.
Notes
- Hide a small charm or bean inside before baking for tradition.
- Serve warm for best flavor.
- Store leftovers at room temperature for up to 2 days.
