Ingredients

- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Pound chicken breasts to even thickness.
- Mix flour, salt, and pepper in a shallow dish.
- Coat chicken in the flour mixture.
- Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat.
- Cook chicken until golden brown, about 4-5 minutes per side.
- Remove chicken and set aside.
- Add chicken broth to the skillet and scrape up browned bits.
- Stir in heavy cream and bring to a simmer.
- Add basil and Parmesan cheese, stirring until melted.
- Return chicken to the skillet and simmer for 5 minutes.
Notes
- For extra flavor, use fresh basil instead of dried.
- Adjust salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve over pasta or mashed potatoes.
