A simple and flavorful butter tofu recipe that’s creamy and rich. Perfect for a quick dinner.
Ingredients

- 400g firm tofu, cubed
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tbsp ginger, grated
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1/2 tsp chili powder
- 1/2 cup tomato puree
- 1/2 cup coconut milk
- 1 tsp garam masala
- Salt to taste
- Fresh cilantro for garnish
Instructions
- Heat butter in a pan over medium heat.
- Add onion, garlic, and ginger. Cook until soft.
- Add turmeric, cumin, coriander, and chili powder. Stir for 1 minute.
- Add tomato puree and cook for 3 minutes.
- Add coconut milk and stir well.
- Add tofu cubes and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Sprinkle garam masala and salt. Mix gently.
- Garnish with cilantro and serve hot.
Notes
- Press tofu before cooking to remove excess water.
- Adjust spice levels to your preference.
- Serve with rice or naan.
