Ingredients

  • 400g firm tofu, cubed
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tbsp ginger, grated
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp chili powder
  • 1/2 cup tomato puree
  • 1/2 cup coconut milk
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat butter in a pan over medium heat.
  2. Add onion, garlic, and ginger. Cook until soft.
  3. Add turmeric, cumin, coriander, and chili powder. Stir for 1 minute.
  4. Add tomato puree and cook for 3 minutes.
  5. Add coconut milk and stir well.
  6. Add tofu cubes and simmer for 5 minutes.
  7. Sprinkle garam masala and salt. Mix gently.
  8. Garnish with cilantro and serve hot.

Notes

  • Press tofu before cooking to remove excess water.
  • Adjust spice levels to your preference.
  • Serve with rice or naan.
