Description

A festive and flavorful bush noel cake, perfect for holiday celebrations.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup dried fruit (optional)
  • 1/4 cup nuts, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a cake pan.
  2. In a bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Stir in vanilla extract.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, and salt.
  6. Alternately add dry ingredients and milk to the butter mixture, mixing until smooth.
  7. Fold in dried fruit and nuts if using.
  8. Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Let cool before serving.
