Description

Bulete de cascaval is a traditional Romanian cheese ball dish, often served as an appetizer or snack.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 200g cascaval cheese (or any semi-hard yellow cheese)
  • 1 egg
  • 50g breadcrumbs
  • 50g flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Grate the cheese into a bowl
  2. Add egg, breadcrumbs, flour, salt and pepper
  3. Mix well until you get a dough-like consistency
  4. Form small balls with your hands
  5. Heat oil in a pan
  6. Fry the cheese balls until golden brown
  7. Drain on paper towels
  8. Serve warm
