Description
A festive yule log cake, traditionally served during Christmas.
Ingredients

- 4 large eggs
- 100g granulated sugar
- 100g all-purpose flour
- 25g cocoa powder
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 300ml heavy cream
- 2 tbsp powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Cocoa powder for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 180°C. Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
- Whisk eggs and sugar until pale and fluffy.
- Sift flour, cocoa, and baking powder. Fold into the egg mixture.
- Spread batter evenly on the tray. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
- Roll the warm cake with a clean towel. Let it cool.
- Whip cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla until stiff peaks form.
- Unroll the cake, spread cream, then roll again.
- Dust with cocoa before serving.
Notes
- Work quickly when rolling to prevent cracks.
- Chill before serving for easier slicing.
