Description
A classic French dessert, Buche de Noel with Creme de Marron is a festive yule log cake filled with sweet chestnut cream.

- 4 eggs
- 100g sugar
- 80g flour
- 20g cocoa powder
- 200g chestnut cream (creme de marron)
- 300ml heavy cream
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Beat eggs and sugar until light and fluffy. Sift in flour and cocoa, fold gently.
- Spread the batter evenly on the baking sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
- Let the cake cool slightly, then roll it with a damp towel to shape.
- Whip heavy cream with vanilla until stiff peaks form. Fold in chestnut cream.
- Unroll the cake, spread the filling, then roll again. Chill for 2 hours.
- Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
Notes
- Use room-temperature eggs for better volume.
- Roll the cake while warm to prevent cracking.
- Chill thoroughly before slicing.
