- 1 block (14 oz) firm tofu, drained and cubed
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce (optional)
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tsp ginger, grated
- 1 cup vegetable broth
- 1 tbsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp water
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 2 green onions, sliced
Instructions
- Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Add garlic and ginger, sauté for 30 seconds.
- Add tofu cubes and cook until lightly browned, about 3-4 minutes.
- Pour in soy sauce, oyster sauce, brown sugar, and vegetable broth. Stir well.
- Bring to a simmer, then reduce heat and cook for 10 minutes.
- Stir in cornstarch mixture to thicken the sauce.
- Garnish with green onions and serve hot.
Notes
- Use firm or extra-firm tofu for best results.
- Adjust soy sauce to taste if needed.
- Add vegetables like mushrooms or bell peppers for extra flavor.
