Ingredients

- 1 block (14 oz) firm tofu, pressed
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp ginger, grated
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup
- 1 tsp rice vinegar
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
- Press the tofu for at least 20 minutes to remove excess water. Cut into cubes.
- In a bowl, mix soy sauce, sesame oil, honey, rice vinegar, garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes.
- Toss tofu cubes in cornstarch until evenly coated.
- Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat. Add tofu and cook until golden brown on all sides.
- Pour the sauce over the tofu and stir until evenly coated. Cook for another 2 minutes.
- Serve hot with rice or vegetables.

- Pressing tofu improves texture.
- Adjust spice levels to taste.
- Use tamari for a gluten-free option.
