Description

A delicious BBQ tofu sandwich packed with flavor and plant-based protein.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 block firm tofu (14 oz)
  • 1/2 cup BBQ sauce
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 burger buns
  • 1/2 red onion, sliced
  • 1 cup lettuce, shredded
  • 1 tomato, sliced

Instructions

  1. Press tofu for 30 minutes to remove excess water.
  2. Cut tofu into 4 slices.
  3. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
  4. Cook tofu slices for 5 minutes per side until golden.
  5. Brush BBQ sauce on both sides of tofu and cook for 2 more minutes.
  6. Toast burger buns lightly.
  7. Assemble sandwich with tofu, onion, lettuce, and tomato.
