Description
A delicious BBQ tofu sandwich packed with flavor and plant-based protein.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 block firm tofu (14 oz)
- 1/2 cup BBQ sauce
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 4 burger buns
- 1/2 red onion, sliced
- 1 cup lettuce, shredded
- 1 tomato, sliced
Instructions
- Press tofu for 30 minutes to remove excess water.
- Cut tofu into 4 slices.
- Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Cook tofu slices for 5 minutes per side until golden.
- Brush BBQ sauce on both sides of tofu and cook for 2 more minutes.
- Toast burger buns lightly.
- Assemble sandwich with tofu, onion, lettuce, and tomato.
Notes
- Use a tofu press for better results.
- Marinate tofu in BBQ sauce for extra flavor.
- Add avocado for creaminess.
