Ingredients

- 500g bread flour
- 350g water
- 100g active sourdough starter
- 10g salt
- 20g fresh basil, finely chopped
Instructions
- Mix flour, water, and sourdough starter in a bowl. Let rest for 30 minutes.
- Add salt and chopped basil. Knead until smooth.
- Cover and let rise for 4-6 hours, folding every hour.
- Shape the dough and place in a proofing basket. Let rest for 1-2 hours.
- Preheat oven to 475°F (245°C) with a Dutch oven inside.
- Bake covered for 20 minutes, then uncovered for 25 minutes.
- Cool on a wire rack before slicing.
