A flavorful and easy-to-make balsamic tofu dish that’s perfect for a healthy meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 block (14 oz) firm tofu, pressed and cubed
  • 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Press the tofu for 15 minutes to remove excess water, then cut into cubes.
  2. In a bowl, mix balsamic vinegar, soy sauce, maple syrup, olive oil, garlic, oregano, and black pepper.
  3. Add tofu cubes to the marinade and let sit for 10 minutes.
  4. Heat a pan over medium heat and cook the tofu for 5-7 minutes per side until golden brown.
  5. Pour the remaining marinade over the tofu and cook for another 2 minutes.
  6. Serve hot.

  • Use extra-firm tofu for better texture.
  • Marinate longer for deeper flavor.
